Off to Catania

Off to Catania

On Sunday the Duftys and Al and I decided to go to Catania. ( The Pfeffers stayed home. One of our main rules is that people only have to do what they choose. Just like Duftys chose to stay home from Lipari. It keeps everyone happy.)
As we did our 25 minute walk to the bus station we suddenly came upon a parade. There was a band, then women in beautiful gowns, then horse drawn wagons. We loved it!
Because there aren’t as many buses on Sundays we didn’t get to Catania until the afternoon. We found a nice little place with some good pizza, arancini (Sicilian rice balls) and sandwiches while we waited for the bus.
