This Weekend

Sorry I haven’t written sooner. You know if we had won, I would have posted immediately.  We played a respectable game with some players missing. We played the Munich Cowboys. The score was 35-21. The team bus left at 6:00 a.m. and we didn’t get home until after 1:00 a.m.  It was a long day. Munich is in second place now. The officials weren’t as bad as they’ve been some weeks. They gave Munich one TD that they didn’t get. The film shows that the player caught it beyond the end zone. Oh well. That was our last away game. We’re thankful for that. We’ll be playing our last three games in a different stadium than our previous home games. It’s about 15 kilometers from here. The stadium is nice and they’re doing a lot of remodeling.

Yesterday after we walked,Larry, Al and I went to a great bakery/cafe and had breakfast. Then they spent the day looking at film and checking out the stadium where we’ll play. They tried to find a sport day that was happening and sounded like a great event, but they didn’t find it.

In the evening we went with Kellers and neighbors for schnitzel. Michael Keller got home from New Orleans yesterday. He was longing for schnitzel! Larry hadn’t been to the neighborhood schnitzel place yet. It’s so good and so reasonable! We all had fun.

  1. That friendly and unique neighborhood schnitzel place is one of our favorite Germany moments. Great food, great wine, great friends!
